It was more accurate and reliable than fasteners, and it has been widely promoted in concrete formwork support systems. In the 1960s, the connection method of fastener scaffolding was greatly improved. Since the 1980s, China has made remarkable achievements in developing advanced and multi-functional scaffolding series. After the 1990s, a variety of new scaffolds have been developed, such as latch-type scaffolds. By 2013, there were more than 100 professional scaffolding manufacturers in China.
