Stainless steel welded pipe is a pipeline product made of thin-walled stainless steel as raw material, mainly used in the fields of building water supply system and direct drinking water transportation. As a metal pipe with a wall thickness range of 0.6-1.2mm, it has the characteristics of safety, hygiene, corrosion resistance, and long service life, and can replace traditional galvanized steel pipes and plastic pipes.
The main difference from seamless stainless steel pipes:
Production method: Seamless pipes are made through processes such as hot rolling and cold drawing, without welding seams; Welded pipes (including straight seams) are made by welding rolled steel plates or strips.
Performance and Cost: Seamless pipes typically have higher strength and are suitable for high-pressure scenarios; Welded pipes have higher surface accuracy, are more suitable for medium and low pressure applications, and usually have lower production costs.
Application selection: Seamless pipes are often used in high-pressure and high-strength harsh environments (such as chemical high-pressure pipelines and offshore platforms); For medium and low-pressure applications with high requirements for surface quality and economy, such as building decoration and low-pressure fluid transportation, welded pipes are often used.
